Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established M&E specialist contractor, delivering building services maintenance within a high-end commercial office environment in West London. This is a static role based within a large, modern office campus, working as part of a sizeable on site engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to the highest standards, supporting a first-class client environment. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern: 7:00-16:00, 8:00-17:00, and 10:00-19:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Maintain and repair HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and associated equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting across a range of mechanical systems
- Monitor plant performance and ensure optimal efficiency
- Work closely with the wider engineering team to ensure service delivery excellence
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Liaise with subcontractors and support specialist service visits when required
- Accurately complete all maintenance documentation and reports
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Recognised Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience working within commercial building services environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
- Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance
Desirable:
- Experience working in large corporate or critical environments
- Knowledge of BMS systems
- Additional qualifications such as L8 / water hygiene
