Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established M&E specialist contractor, delivering building services maintenance within a high-end commercial office environment in West London. This is a static role based within a large, modern office campus, working as part of a sizeable on site engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to the highest standards, supporting a first-class client environment. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern: 7:00-16:00, 8:00-17:00, and 10:00-19:00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Maintain and repair HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and associated equipment
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting across a range of mechanical systems
  • Monitor plant performance and ensure optimal efficiency
  • Work closely with the wider engineering team to ensure service delivery excellence
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
  • Liaise with subcontractors and support specialist service visits when required
  • Accurately complete all maintenance documentation and reports

Required Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Recognised Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working within commercial building services environments
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant
  • Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance

Desirable:

  • Experience working in large corporate or critical environments
  • Knowledge of BMS systems
  • Additional qualifications such as L8 / water hygiene
