Trevett Services are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join a national engineering team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong air conditioning and HVAC experience to join a growing business that invests in its people, provides ongoing training and offers genuine long-term career progression.

You'll be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational whilst delivering a first-class service to clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment.
  • Service, maintain and repair: Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), VRV / VRF Systems, Split Systems, Chillers.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across HVAC plant. Complete repairs efficiently whilst maintaining high first-time fix rates.
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation, SFG20 maintenance standards and company procedures.
  • Complete service reports and maintenance documentation using CAFM systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works and compliance documentation.
  • Identify remedial works during maintenance visits. Provide clear technical reports and recommendations.
  • Escalate plant issues where further works are required.
  • Maintain company van stock, tools and testing equipment. Ensure all company equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
  • Participate in the on-call rota when required.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC or equivalent.
  • F-Gas Category 1.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proven experience maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience working to SFG20 planned maintenance schedules.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • ACRIB Gold Skills Card.
  • Electrical qualifications or electrical maintenance knowledge.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) experience.
  • Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) experience.
  • Experience maintaining larger commercial or critical plant including: Chillers, Large Air Handling Units, Critical HVAC systems.
  • Five years' experience within a similar commercial HVAC role.
