You will be working across a unique and highly secure test and evaluation facility, playing a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of contractor-led works.
The Role
As Contractor Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and control of contractors across site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulations. You will act as the central point of coordination between contractors, delivery teams, and stakeholders, ensuring all works are planned, communicated, and executed without disruption to ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate contractor activities on site in line with H&S policies and CDM regulations
- Manage contractor inductions, permits to work, and site access requirements
- Ensure contractors understand site rules, hazards, and emergency procedures
- Issue Permissions to Proceed and confirm attendance in line with planned works
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance through work monitoring processes
- Liaise with Delivery Leads, Project Managers, and stakeholders to coordinate works
- Ensure planned activities do not conflict with live operations or site trials
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing contractors within engineering, FM, or maintenance environments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Understanding of engineering or facilities management environments
- IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, Technical discipline, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Full UK driving licence
