Trevett Services are pleased to be supporting the recruitment of a Drainage Technician for a prestigious, static commercial contract located in the Kensington High Street area. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on drainage professional who enjoys being site-based, taking ownership of drainage systems, and working closely with clients and specialist subcontractors. You will play a key role in maintaining, inspecting, and improving drainage performance across a portfolio of high-standard commercial buildings, ensuring compliance, reliability, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive drainage maintenance across commercial buildings within the contract.
- Undertake drainage camera surveys on rainwater gullies, stacks, and below-ground drainage systems.
- Support the development, maintenance, and accuracy of drainage plans and asset registers.
- Diagnose drainage faults and recommend remedial or improvement works.
- Supervise and coordinate specialist drainage subcontractors on-site.
- Support landlord areas as a priority, with occasional involvement in tenant areas where required.
- Complete accurate reports, service records, and statutory/compliance documentation.
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service as a representative on site.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Recognised Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of commercial drainage systems, including rainwater, foul, and below-ground drainage.
- Proven experience in drainage inspections, camera surveys, and fault finding.
- Legionella / L8 Awareness or relevant qualification.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider engineering team.
Desirable
- Experience supervising specialist drainage contractors.
- Experience working within high-end or customer-facing commercial environments.
- Knowledge of waste systems, pipework installation, repair, and replacement.
