Role Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Resident Multiskilled Technician to join a professional building services team supporting a high-end corporate office environment. This is a client-facing role where you will deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems. The role is primarily based at a prestigious corporate headquarters in London, with scheduled monthly visits to regional offices in Birmingham and Manchester to support planned maintenance activities and occasional reactive works. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems in line with agreed schedules and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation work in line with IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 and relevant industry safety standards.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Facilities Managers across the Birmingham and Manchester sites.
- Deliver high-quality service to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring statutory compliance.
- Support and oversee minor works carried out by subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
- Liaise with the onsite FM team and service partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain excellent customer service standards in a professional corporate environment.
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota for the London site (1 in 3).
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance within building services environments (SFG20 or equivalent standards).
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for a client-facing role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable:
- Experience working within corporate office or commercial building environments.
- Previous experience managing subcontractors and minor works.
