Trevella Jobs are currently recruiting for an TIG / MAG Welder for a specialist engineering workshop based close to Leigh. Our client currently works with some of the biggest names in the engineering industry. Role: TIG / MAG Welder Location: Leigh Hours: Monday – Friday 6:45am-3:15pm (with an early finish on a Friday) Contract type: Permanent The Role: • To use TIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined production schedules, using the information contained within the works orders. • This is working on thick plates, so canddates will need experience of working with plates upwards of 25mm • To supply quality parts & assemblies from jigs & fixtures, using company SOP’s • Predominantly thin gauge aluminium, but some MAG welding maybe needed on occasions. • Support the Quality Assurance department to ensure all work is completed to the highest of industry standards. • Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy. • Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required. • Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager and Team Leader. Experience and Qualifications: • TIG welding experience ideally with experience of doing single sided TIG Root , 2nd and 3rd pass. • You will have experience down hand and vertical up welding. • We require someone with an excellent eye for detail • You must be able to work diligently with minimum supervision day to day NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC Engineering qualification – with valid certificate copy to be shown
