Trevella Jobs are recruiting for reliable and experienced Class 2 Drivers to drive Refuse (BIN) wagons across the region for our social housing partner. HGV Class 2 driver will be working 37 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 9.25 (4 day week) Hours beginning at 06:30am - 15:45pm. Ongoing work until at least November 2026. This is a vital role within our partner's organisation, ensuring that you are competent is a priority.
HGV Class 2 driver duties will include:
- Load and unload waste materials using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and ensure time is managed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
HGV Class 2 driver Requirements:
- Valid class 2 driver's license
- Refuse driving experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently on and off the vehicle with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as well as walk several miles per day if required to do so
