With a strong portfolio of successful projects, we are excited to announce the launch of a new build domestic homes development in the South Tyneside region. To ensure the success of this project, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Team Leader to join our dynamic team. Role Overview: As the Site Manager / Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of a new build residential development from inception to completion. You will lead a dedicated team, manage subcontractors, and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: – Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. – Lead and motivate a team of site workers and subcontractors, fostering a positive and productive work environment. – Coordinate and monitor all construction activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. – Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. – Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, site meetings, and safety audits. – Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards. – Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. – Manage materials and resources efficiently to minimize waste and optimize productivity. Qualifications and Experience: – Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar leadership role within the residential construction sector. – Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. – Excellent leadership and team management skills. – Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. – Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS) are essential. – A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure. – A valid driving license and willingness to travel within the South Tyneside area as required.
