We are looking for a proactive and creative Marketing & Events Executive to join our Marketing Team on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident marketer who enjoys variety, collaboration, and working in a fast‑paced, professional environment.
About the Role
You’ll play a key part in delivering our annual marketing plan, ensuring our brand is consistently represented across all channels and supporting our lawyers and business teams in promoting Trethowans’ wide‑ranging services. From campaign delivery and events to website management and digital content, your work will help strengthen our profile across the region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing & Digital
- Bring fresh, creative ideas to campaigns, processes and wider marketing initiatives.
- Write compelling, on‑brand copy for the website, collateral, advertisements and digital content.
- Support the development, production and promotion of the Candid Divorce Lawyer podcast and other multimedia content as part of integrated campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create campaign assets, coordinate activity and optimise performance.
- Oversee and grow our digital and social media presence to showcase our expertise, insights and firm news.
- Develop and maintain marketing and business development materials.
- Manage updates to the Trethowans website via our CMS, including SEO best practice, with the support of our Digital Marketing Apprentice.
- Produce clear, insightful reports on marketing activity, ROI and recommendations.
- Support award and directory submissions for publications such as Chambers and Legal 500.
- Conduct research and analysis to support marketing and BD plans.
- Events
- Lead the planning, promotion and delivery of high‑quality events including seminars, webinars and client hospitality.
- Define event objectives, target audience and key messages to ensure strong engagement and measurable outcomes.
- Manage end‑to‑end logistics, supplier relationships, budget tracking and on‑the‑day delivery, including occasional out‑of‑hours commitments.
- Analyse event performance, gather feedback and produce insights to inform future activity.
- Brand, Data & Compliance
- Maintain a clear and consistent Trethowans brand voice across all communications.
- Liaise with external agencies (design, PR and digital).
- Ensure strict GDPR compliance and maintain accurate marketing data, including opt‑ins, consent and preferences.
About You

- Experience in a marketing, communications or events role.
- Capable of building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Strong digital skills, CMS, social media, SEO and analytics.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading ability.
- A proactive, creative mindset and strong attention to detail.
- A recognised marketing qualification (such as CIM) is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable travelling between all Trethowans office locations as required.
