Marketplace Manager
Role Profile
Reports to: Head of Ecommerce
Location: Glasgow, office based
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8.30am to 5.30pm)
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketplace Manager to lead and grow our presence across all online marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, and other key platforms. This is a strategic role responsible for overseeing performance, driving sales growth, and expanding into new marketplaces and international territories.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketplace operations, advertising strategy, and listing optimization. Experience with both Amazon Seller, FBA and Vendor models is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all marketplace accounts across regions (e.g., Amazon, eBay, etc.), ensuring consistent growth and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute expansion strategies into new global marketplaces and regions.
- Plan and manage advertising campaigns across marketplaces (e.g., Amazon Ads), optimizing performance and return on investment.
- Collaborate with the product listing & optimisation team to ensure all listings are fully optimised for SEO, conversion, and compliance.
- Monitor KPIs including sales performance, conversion rates, customer feedback, and advertising metrics.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth marketplace execution.
- Manage marketplace promotions, deals, and seasonal campaigns in line with company goals.
- Stay up to date with marketplace trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
- Act as the internal expert on Amazon FBA and Vendor Central, helping to shape strategy and operations accordingly.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing multiple marketplaces, with deep knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central.
- Strong understanding of marketplace advertising platforms and strategies.
- Ability to lead marketplace expansion into new countries and platforms.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, logistics, and customer support.
- Proficient in marketplace tools, reporting dashboards, and keyword optimisation software (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, etc.)
