Role Overview
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Magento Frontend Developer to join our team of talented developers. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Magento team to create bespoke, high-quality solutions for a portfolio of eCommerce websites. While past Magento experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a strong background in frontend development for PHP-based frameworks. You will receive mentorship and guidance, but a passion for learning and self-improvement is key to thriving in this role.
What does a typical day look like?
- Develop custom frontend Magento modules and functionality, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with the team on scoping and estimation sessions for new projects and features.
- Peer-review code contributions from other developers to maintain high-quality standards.
- Provide technical advice and support to the wider eCommerce team regarding Magento frontend development.
Essential skills
- Proficiency in CSS preprocessors.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- A keen focus on performance, security, and user experience in eCommerce.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Experience developing custom frontend solutions for Magento 2 (Commerce [Enterprise] edition is a bonus).
- Familiarity with Magento's frontend architecture.
- Knowledge of PHP to collaborate effectively with backend developers.
- Experience with debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Agile project management processes.
- Exposure to containerization tools.
