About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking and proficient administrator to work in our calibration laboratory in Milton Keynes. We calibrate, repair and service all types of electrical and mechanical instrumentation for a wide variety of industries, including Railway, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Health Care, and Aeronautical.
The successful candidate will be responsible for booking in customers' instrumentation onto our bespoke systems and general administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Booking in of instruments
- Creation of customer accounts and updating of contact details
- Control of records
- Progress chasing items
- Organising daily deliveries and collection runs
- Dispatching via couriers
- Reception duties

Joining our team as a Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for receiving and booking in customers' assets, dealing with third-party couriers (National & International) including overseeing the movement of incoming and outgoing goods. You will ensure that mandatory and legislative QHSE aspects of work are implemented at all times.
Daily you will be responsible for:
- Booking customers' assets onto the Company management suite (EMS)
- Being an integral part of the team managing the workflow to meet customer deadlines
- Dealing with Internal & External queries
- Unpacking and checking deliveries against delivery paperwork and/or purchase orders
- Scheduling and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery
- The safe & effective packing of assets for third-party deliveries
- Operating company vehicle for collections & deliveries as and when required
- Raising and highlighting any variance between orders and deliveries
- Supporting the administration team with logistical issues
