If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Trainee Calibration Technician at one of our sites across the UK.

About the Role

Joining Lambda, a Trescal company, as a Dimensional Trainee Calibration Technician you will be buddied up with an experienced Engineer who will coach and guide you through the key principles of Calibration. As you progress through your personal training plan, you will be expected to perform independent calibrations to in-house and UKAS accredited Procedures and other recognised specifications. You will be based at our Dimensional UKAS accredited laboratory where we calibrate items such as Dial Gauges, Gauge Blocks, Micrometers, Calipers, Screw Gauges and Vee Blocks. You may also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites when required. As part of the role, you will also be expected to maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilising our management systems.

Requirements

  • A good understanding of Math and Science - ideally have a GCSE grade of 4/5
  • A general interest in Engineering
  • Practical experience / hobbies using hand tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Experience working within Customer focused environment is advantageous
