Summary / Overview of role: The Coffee Shop Assistant will work as part of the Whitebird Coffee Shop Team within the Trading department at Trent Vineyard. The role involves assisting the Coffee Shop Team to ensure that the vision to serve the church, customers and community remains central to the operation, whilst also ensuring that the business runs efficiently and within budget.
Role specifics:
- Help create a welcoming and customer focused environment on a day-to-day basis, providing the highest standard of customer service to coffee shop customers and visitors.
- Prepare and serve food and drinks to a high standard, adhering to the highest standard of food hygiene throughout.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Respond to customer feedback appropriately, raising issues with your line manager as required.
- Where required, lead the coffee shop team to ensure tasks are completed.
- Handle cash and be competent in the use of the coffee shop till system, including end of day cashing up.
- Take part in training as requested by your line manager.
- Be an active member of the trading team, taking part in team building activities, and contributing ideas and suggestions.
- Be an ambassador for Trent Vineyard and Trent Vineyard Trading.
- Maintain healthy relationships with other team leaders, staff and church members.
- Adhere to and ensure sessional staff are aware of Trent Vineyard’s policies and procedures.
- Take on new areas of responsibility and relinquish others as the staff team develops and responsibilities change as agreed with your Line Manager.

- Week A: Thursday: 6.50 hours, Friday: 6.50 hours, Sunday: 6 hours
- Week B: Thursday: 6.50 hours, Friday: 6.50 hours, Sunday: 2 hours
