We are looking for an experienced GP Medical Secretary with excellent communication and customer service skills to join our dedicated secretarial team. The role is varied and involves supporting the clinical team with secretarial and administrative tasks essential to delivering effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to GPs and clinical staff
  • Manage all NHS and private clinical referrals
  • Monitor and process electronic referrals, including two-week wait and UCR referrals
  • Liaise with hospitals, community services, and other providers
  • Support safeguarding documentation and processes
  • Manage electronic document workflow using DOCMAN (post, scanning, distribution)
  • Handle summarising using SNOMED coding
  • Work across various IT platforms, including EMIS Web, DOCMAN, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Support Subject Access Requests (SARs) and information governance tasks

You will be working collaboratively as part of a well-established, experienced secretarial team where all members are trained across the full spectrum of medical secretary duties.
