Are you passionate about supporting local people and helping communities thrive during challenging times? We are looking for a dedicated and organised Warm Spaces Project Officer to lead the delivery of our Warm Spaces Programme, ensuring residents have access to warm, welcoming spaces, hot meals, community fridge provisions and opportunities to connect with others. This is a rewarding role where you will play a vital part in addressing the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, reducing social isolation and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

About the Role

As Warm Spaces Project Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of our two community café-based Warm Spaces. You will oversee operational activities, manage staff and volunteers, maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, and ensure local residents receive a positive and welcoming experience. You will also gather and analyse information about service usage to help demonstrate the impact of the programme and support its future development.

About You

  • Experience of coordinating projects, services or community programmes.
  • Experience of managing, supervising or supporting staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A commitment to supporting local communities and vulnerable residents.
  • Experience of maintaining records and monitoring performance data.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • An understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
