The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Working alongside our Community Engagement Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting volunteer opportunities and supporting the volunteering offer. As a Volunteer and Wellbeing Officer, you will also be required to engage with residents in our communities to enable them to move away from the impact of isolation and participate in their community. Whilst liaising with external providers and partners, you will help maximise community inclusion and volunteering opportunities, while focusing on customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with people from all backgrounds using strong networking skills.
  • Show empathy and understanding of residents who are vulnerable and/or socially isolated.
  • Represent Trent & Dove positively and communicate with all potential contacts (staff, volunteers, external stakeholders, public of all ages) whilst presenting a professional image.
  • Support volunteers through recruitment, training and regular supervision.

Key Qualifications

  • An understanding of impact and indicators for isolation and loneliness.
  • Awareness of volunteer guidelines, safeguarding and ongoing support.
  • A strong understanding of services available across our area of operation including East Staffordshire and rural areas.
  • An understanding of GDPR, confidentiality issues and sharing protocols.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
