We are looking for an approachable, innovative, enthusiastic individual who shares our commitment to community involvement and providing a high standard of customer service. As part of a team responsible for the delivery of excellent frontline customer service, the successful applicant will have the proven ability of working with the public.
The role of an Income Officer will be responsible for:
- Managing patch based accounts up to eviction stage, through the arrears recovery process.
- Promote tenancy sustainment whilst managing through enforcement to recover debt in an accurate, sensitive, confident and responsive manner together with representing TDH at County Court for any possession or warrant action required.
- Deliver high end customer service at all times.
- Comply with all TDH Income procedures and company policies.
- Support the provision of a high-quality income management service, by working in partnership with other teams across the Housing Service area.
- Working with external key stakeholders to ensure vulnerable customers are identified and are offered appropriate support.
- Be a strong communicator able to deliver your skills through effective working relationships with all work colleagues whilst meeting agreed targets.
- Be driven, with the aim to make a difference through income management.
- Support and assist the Income Manager & Head of Service in the performance of their duties.
- Up to date knowledge on welfare reform & associated benefits.
- The ability to manage case loads and be target driven.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to relate and communicate with people on varying levels, whilst managing conflict and complex situations.
- The drive to make a difference through income management.
