About The Role: Are you passionate about data governance and quality? bpha is seeking a Data Governance and Quality Expert to lead the development and implementation of data governance and data quality frameworks across our organisation. This is a pivotal role, providing expert guidance, designing and delivering training, and engaging with senior leaders to embed best practices and ensure data is treated as a strategic asset.
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities
- Acting as the go-to expert for data governance and data quality, influencing and supporting senior leaders to adopt best practices.
- Developing, assessing, and implementing data governance and data quality frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Defining and promoting clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship.
- Designing and delivering engaging training programmes to increase awareness and capability across the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating workshops and gathering feedback.
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics to track data quality and governance effectiveness, leading continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, and data management.
- Strong understanding of data-related regulations (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act).
- Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with senior leaders.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into accessible language.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
Desirable
- Experience in change management and organisational transformation.
- Certifications in Data Governance/Data Management (e.g., DAMA, DCAM).
- Project or programme management experience.
