At Trelowen Manor, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support to individuals, empowering them to live as independently as possible and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding, hands-on role within a supportive environment where you will make a meaningful difference every day.
Applicants must already hold a completed Care Certificate and have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. You should also demonstrate a genuine willingness to continue developing your skills and growing within the role.
Duties- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support within Trelowen Manor
- Assist with daily living activities, promoting independence, dignity, and choice
- Provide emotional support, mentoring, and encouragement tailored to individual needs
- Support individuals with developing life skills and engaging in meaningful activities
- Promote social inclusion and positive relationships
- Assist with meal preparation and support in line with Food Safety standards
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of care and support provided
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver holistic care
- Previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A completed Care Certificate or higher
- Food Safety / Food Hygiene Certificate
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
- All applicants must be subject to an Enhanced DBS check. We prefer candidates who are registered with the DBS Update Service, however this is not essential as a new DBS check will be carried out prior to employment.
