Full and Part Time applications welcome, 36 – 42 hours per week Term Time only. Treloar’s is a charity that provides outstanding education, therapy and care to physically disabled young people, and empowers them to live more independent and fulfilling lives. We are therefore seeking a pharmacy technician interested in working in this unique setting: we are not a pharmacy, but we offer a dynamic and challenging role in a committed and supportive health care team.

You will be based in a busy health centre within the school and college. Working with GPs, other pharmacy technicians and a large team of nurses, therapists and care staff, you will use your skills to support GPs, transcribe medicines onto our electronic system, manage stock and storage, and share the responsibility for medicine audits across the 6 boarding houses and classrooms. You must have an enthusiasm for detail, be comfortable with giving advice without pharmacist support, problem solving using a range of medicine resources, and communicating with a wide range of people.

Candidates must be a qualified Pharmacy Technician with a BTEC/NVQ 3 (or equivalent pharmacy technician qualification) in Pharmaceutical Sciences in addition to having an active registration with the GPhC.

  • Term time only (mostly Mon to Fri) (full time hours approx. 0800 to 1700)
  • Up to 2 weeks working in the school/college holidays to be taken as TOIL in term time (only if required)
