Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality teaching and learning
- Maintain high quality behaviour
- Lead staff and work strategically to strive for excellence for the whole school community
- Work supportively with the Head of School, providing vision, strategic direction and leadership on students’ progress
- Implement and adapt secondary curriculum, ensuring accreditations and qualifications continue to meet student needs
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Qualified Teacher Status and a degree level qualification or equivalent. They must have management experience and demonstrate an excellent understanding of the special education sector, an empathetic approach to children with special educational needs and disabilities in both day students and those in our residential environment, and appreciate the key role of therapeutic interventions in helping young people achieve placement.
