Responsibilities
- Play a key role in managing CNC turning equipment, from setup to operation.
- Ensure all safety systems, including emergency stops, are routinely checked and operational.
- Produce parts from information contained in the manufacturing orders.
- Read and understand technical drawings, tool cutting points, and TNR compensation.
- Read and edit CNC programs as required.
- Select and set the correct tools for the job.
- Check physical seal dimensions with mechanical and optical measuring equipment and ensure they are within tolerance specified on the drawing.
- Carry out batch inspection of parts at regular intervals as defined in SOP.
- Batch inspect parts for defects and dispose of any parts that do not meet parameters.
- Set and operate several CNC machines as required.
- Run first-off parts, check dimensions against engineering drawings, and make precise adjustments to ensure everything meets specification.
- Enter job details (start/end, etc.) on barcode scanning for job traceability.
- Reinstate the work area before starting the next job.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hands-on experience in CNC turning; solid background in engineering and production.
- Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
- Preferably experience with Fanuc controls or Okuma machines.
- Level 2 or 3 engineering or manufacturing qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience operating CNC machinery within a production environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Approach work in a structured, orderly and methodical manner with high standards of discipline and housekeeping.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements and consistent use of PPE.
- Strong focus on quality, ensuring produce meets high standards and aligns with company objectives.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with reliability, strong record of attendance and punctuality.
- Enjoy working as part of a team, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive working environment.
- Capacity to lead by example, taking pride in contributing to team and company goals, and to take ownership of personal development.

Full-time position on a rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: 06:00-14:00
- Week 2: 14:00-22:00
