About The Job

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the primary purpose of the Key Account Manager role is to maintain existing and develop new business. The KAM will be expected to manage customer relationships through the entire business cycle from sale through to cash collection. Furthermore, the KAM will be expected to identify, pursue and convert profitable new business opportunities within their target segment. The KAM will be assigned to a segment and/or be responsible for a geographical territory, a selected range of customers or a specific market. To work as part of the UK team in contributing towards the achievement of TSSUK objectives.

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering or industry relevant experience
  • Relevant experience within a system and target driven organisation
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Working with Company procedures & workflows
  • CRM systems knowledge

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Achieving Sales and Gross Margin budgets
  • Implementing pricing in line with the chosen pricing policy
  • Promote the strengths and capabilities of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions UK in targeted growth markets
  • Manage key accounts through the development and implementation of strategic account plans
  • Build and maintain key customer relationships
  • Identify, pursue and convert new business development opportunities and Projects
  • Support the General Manager in the development of a sales strategy
  • Work closely with our internal customer service teams to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Feedback information from the marketplace which is relevant to our sales & marketing strategy or competitive position
  • Responsible for delivery of key growth projects

This role involves frequent travel within the UK to customer sites and occasional travel to Trelleborg Manufacturing sites. There will be occasional international travel for management reviews, sales meetings, training, and development purposes.
