Trelleborg Polyurethane Products Ltd is seeking a proactive and analytical Process Engineer to optimise production processes, improve efficiency, and support Manufacturing Excellence initiatives across the site.
About The Role
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in analysing, designing and improving production processes to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and R&D teams to drive operational improvements, introduce new technologies and support the development of best‑practice manufacturing standards. This role is hands‑on, data‑driven and central to our commitment to continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and support operational stability.
- Implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methods.
- Support Manufacturing Excellence (ME) projects and contribute to CI culture development.
- Create and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions and process flow diagrams.
- Monitor production performance and analyse KPIs to identify and act on improvement opportunities.
- Support the successful introduction of new products, materials and manufacturing technologies.
- Troubleshoot process‑related issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with all regulations.
- Train and guide production colleagues on new processes, equipment and standards.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years’ experience in process engineering within manufacturing or industrial production.
- Good understanding of automation, process control and manufacturing systems.
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (certification desirable).
- Proficiency in CAD, process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Project management knowledge or experience is an advantage.
