We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering a great employee experience and supporting both managers and employees across the full HR lifecycle.
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for HR-related matters, ensure smooth HR operations, and contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- HR Administration
- Manage HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding documentation, probation reviews, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Administer HR systems for performance appraisals and engagement surveys.
- Support payroll with monthly and weekly changes, ensuring accuracy of HR data.
- Produce HR reports and key metrics such as turnover, absence and training compliance.
- Coordinate employee benefits programmes and support annual renewals.
- HR Support
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and general employment queries.
- Respond to questions related to absence, family-friendly policies, performance expectations and HR systems.
- Escalate complex cases to the HR Business Partner when needed.
- Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on informal and low-level ER issues including short-term absence, conduct and performance matters.
- Support managers during informal investigations and disciplinary or grievance meetings.
- Take accurate minutes and ensure ER cases are documented and progressed in line with best practice.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment administration, including role advertising, applicant screening, interview coordination and contract preparation.
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure new employees have a smooth and engaging start.
- Support managers in delivering induction programmes and probation processes.
- HR Projects, Process Improvement & GDPR Compliance
- Contribute to HR system enhancements and process optimisation.
- Support wider HR projects such as engagement activities, training programmes and policy updates.
- Monitor GDPR compliance, including data retention, audit trails and documentation quality.
- Support GDPR training and awareness within the HR function.
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience in HR administration or advisory roles.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, policies and employment legislation.
- Experience handling first‑line HR queries and low-level ER cases.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining HR data and using systems for appraisals and engagement surveys.
- Understanding of GDPR principles within an HR environment.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards); Level 5 is an advantage.
- Experience in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting payroll or GDPR compliance processes.
- Approachable, professional and service-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a high‑quality HR service.
