This role reports to the Senior Quality Engineer and works as part of the Quality Team. The successful candidate will ensure internal and external quality requirements are met throughout all stages of production. Key Duties & Responsibilities Support company quality control and assurance activities, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction. Maintain accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO14001, ensuring compliance with all system requirements including health & safety, risk assessments, COSHH, and environmental standards. Ensure all goods manufactured and received comply with customer drawings and specifications. Promote continuous improvement in quality and reduce returns. Support manufacturing, engineering, and new product introduction regarding quality standards and reject targets. Assess subcontractors timely and effectively. Develop quality standards in collaboration with production, engineering, sales, suppliers, and customers. Ensure manufacturing and quality control specifications are accessible and followed. Review procedural effectiveness regularly and recommend amendments. Manage calibration and audit schemes to meet set standards. Ensure environmental legislation compliance within the role\’s scope. Support Employee Requirements Educate staff on quality control principles. Ensure personnel are knowledgeable about manufacturing and quality specifications. Conduct performance appraisals to foster development. Assist in onboarding regarding quality initiatives. Advise staff on quality assurance concepts affecting product quality. Performance Measures Set and communicate quality and productivity targets. Conduct personal development appraisals. Obtain and maintain relevant quality certifications. Reduce customer returns. Develop manufacturing standards documentation for quality purposes. Relationships Promote and uphold quality standards. Educate staff on quality issues. Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers. Collaborate with relevant teams to meet targets. Knowledge / Experience Effective communication skills at all levels. Experience presenting to teams. Familiarity with modern quality systems and techniques. Preferably experience in the aerospace industry. Proficient with relevant software and quality systems. Possession of quality certification. Personal Qualities Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. Team-oriented. Ability to interact across all business levels.
