As the QHSE Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental operations meet or exceed regulatory, customer, and organizational standards. This role develops and implements management systems, policies, and programs to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant business operations. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensure adherence, oversee risk mitigation, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across the organisation.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory, customer, and company standards. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality assessments to drive continuous improvement.
- Health & Safety Oversight: Establish and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct risk assessments, monitor workplace safety, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure business operations comply with environmental regulations, permits, and sustainability initiatives. Implement environmental management programs, including waste reduction, emissions control, and resource efficiency.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential quality, safety, environmental, and facility risks, developing strategies to mitigate them. Implement corrective and preventive actions for incidents or non-conformities.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver QHSE and facilities-related training programs to promote awareness, safe practices, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
- Incident Management: Facilitate investigations into quality, safety, environmental, and facility incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Liaison: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Liaise with authorities and ensure timely reporting of compliance matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve QHSE and facilities performance, integrating best practices, audits, and performance metrics to enhance operational excellence.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present QHSE reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to senior management. Maintain accurate records for audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, production, and other departments to ensure QHSE requirements are embedded in processes, projects, and facilities planning.
Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as requested by the company, in line with the overall purpose of the role and the needs of the business.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, quality management, industrial management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in quality management roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
