We are looking for a proactive and technically minded Process Technician to join our team at Tewkesbury.

This is a varied and hands-on role where you will support manufacturing teams with day-to-day processing challenges, investigate the root causes of issues and help implement sustainable improvements. As a Process Technician, you will:

  • Investigate production problems, identify root causes and implement effective long-term solutions.
  • Support and coach operators by providing practical, on-the-job feedback and training.
  • Work with Production Managers to identify training needs, develop training plans and assess capability.
  • Create, update and maintain clear work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure teams are working to the latest documented processes, controls and manufacturing best practice.
  • Review requests for manufacturing method changes and make approved updates within the relevant system.
  • Visually and dimensionally inspect rejected products to determine the cause of failure.
  • Recommend immediate recovery actions and longer-term measures to prevent issues from recurring.
  • Support the introduction of new products from initial development through to production sign-off, in line with the NPI and BOM processes.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify opportunities to reduce scrap, increase output and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to improvement projects and, depending on your experience, develop expertise within a specialist technical area.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with:

  • Around three years’ experience within process engineering or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Six Sigma techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • A careful, accurate and consistent approach to technical documentation.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to discuss ideas and present information to colleagues and management.
  • The ability to provide effective training, coaching and constructive feedback.
  • A collaborative and empathetic approach to resolving issues.
