Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Tewkesbury has an exciting opportunity to join the business as a Manufacturing Operative on a 6 month fixed term contract. After a basic training period, you will have the ability to work with limited supervision in producing parts in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
Hourly Rate: £15.07 (£13.70 + 10% shift premium)
Shift Pattern:
- Week 1 - 6am-2pm Monday to Friday
- Week 2 - 2pm - 11:53pm Monday to Thursday
The ideal candidate will have a flexible working approach, can contribute towards the team effort and is empowered to undertake work on their own initiative. You will carry out all operations as outlined on production paperwork, ensuring the machines are set correctly in order to comply with Company and Legislative Safety Laws, ensuring the maximum output is achieved per machine cycle, and any other duties deemed necessary to meet the needs of the company business. You will be required to contribute towards scrap reduction by eliminating waste, inspecting your own parts, correct material usage and correct machine usage in order to achieve zero scrap.
Responsibilities:
- Locate materials and tooling
- Operate a limited number of machines
- Correct usage of guards and safety switches for machinery
- Understanding of materials for product manufacture
- Identification and use of correct parts/machine for production
- Correct use of sprays/solvents/cleaning agents as applicable
- Correct manual handling of tools and moulds
- Carry out all operations as outlined in production paperwork
- Flexible, to be transferred to other areas of production
- Carry out all work activities in accordance with HSE requirements
- Keep work area(s) in compliance with company housekeeping standards
Required Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is favourable.
