The Varilip Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating machinery and carrying out production processes involved in the manufacture of Varilip products. The role ensures that all products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards while meeting daily production targets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere strictly to health & safety policies, including correct use of PPE.
- Carry out routine checks to ensure machines are running efficiently and safely and record/report findings or defects.
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment used in the Varilip production process.
- Set up machines in line with production specifications and work instructions.
- Assemble, process, or finish products according to company standards.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Record production data accurately, including output, downtime, and defects.
- Identify and report faults, breakdowns, or quality issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with training new staff where required.
- Participate in team meetings and improvement initiatives.
- Carry out any reasonable duties requested by management.
