Master Production Scheduler's
Role Overview
Reporting to the MPS Planning Team Leader, the Master Production Scheduler (MPS) is responsible for managing the short-term production plan and customer order schedule within agreed planning rules. The role ensures that customer demand is balanced with available production capacity and provides clear, realistic feedback on what can be achieved.
The position works closely with Global Customer Solution Centres, Trelleborg Supply Chain, on-site Production, Purchasing, Despatch, Quality, and Product Engineering departments to coordinate priorities, manage order changes and resolve urgent issues. A key element of the role is maintaining accurate system data and production documentation to support effective order fulfilment.
Education & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Experience in production planning, order management, supply chain, customer service, or a similar operational role.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience working with ERP systems and maintaining accurate data.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience of ERP systems such as Fourth Shift, SAP, or similar (desirable).
- Ability to manage a dynamic order book within defined planning rules and constraints.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when managing systems and data.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work with autonomy, initiative, and accountability within established processes.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and adapting to changing priorities and escalations.
- Strong Team Player.
