About the Role...
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified or Part Qualified
Finance Manager to join the Finance Team at our Bridgwater site.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in driving financial performance across the site.
You'll be responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, payroll, inventory management, KPI reporting, and product costing, while leading and developing two members of the Finance Team.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide valuable financial insight, support budgeting and audit activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help identify opportunities to improve profitability and business performance.
About the ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified or part-qualified, with strong accounting and finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
You'll have excellent analytical and communication skills, strong ERP and Excel knowledge, and a proactive approach to improving processes and delivering results.
This role is full time working a flexi system within the Finance Department.
- Tasks and Responsibilities
- Management of full month and year end reporting cycle, from journal preparation to reporting and producing insightful management accounts.
- Be responsible for two direct reports in the wider finance team, providing coaching, leadership and mentoring where possible.
- Ownership of monthly forecasts, working with operational teams to improve accuracy and provide forward-looking insight into decision making.
- Lead a site-wide initiative to identify, manage and reduce loss-making products, working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to improve portfolio performance and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
- Preparation of Monthly payroll and cover for weekly payroll, including pensions and statutory requirements.
- Inventory Management, stock control and ownership.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational and financial decision making.
- ERP system migration support.
- Support the preparation of the annual budget process.
- Prepare and coordinate capital expenditure submissions.
- Lead annual audit preparation and act as key liaison with external auditors.
- Own and develop product costing and margin analysis, including labour, overhead and inventory considerations, supporting improvements in cost control and profitability.

This position is based on-site at Bridgwater.
However, travel may be offered for training or strategic project work but is unlikely to be more than 3 days at a time.
We will consult with the postholder regarding travel requirements.
