About The Job
As a key player in the final stages of production, you will be responsible for releasing moulded, extruded, and fabricated products for despatch to customers or into internal stock. You will use measuring equipment to visually and dimensionally inspect goods according to internal and customer specifications, record inspection results in the respective product code files, and update batch records. Additionally, you will manage products and stock on our ERP system, including booking in, booking scrap, and transferring products.
In this role, you will identify and segregate non-conforming products in line with internal procedures, and label and pack products according to specified requirements. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that all products meet the necessary standards before being dispatched to customers or added to internal stock.
This role requires some manual handling and lifting of up to 20kg.
Key Responsibilities
- Use measuring equipment, as necessary, to visually and dimensionally inspect goods according to internal and customer specifications.
- Record inspection results in the respective product code files.
- Update batch records.
- Manage products and stock on our ERP system, including booking in, booking scrap and transferring.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming product in line with internal procedures.
- Label and pack products according to specified requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Understanding of BS6001 sampling plans – desirable
- Understanding of Quality Assurance process procedures – desirable
- Good IT skills.
- Very good communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply internal and customer specifications in inspections.
- Proficient in recording and updating inspection results and relevant systems.
- Skilled in identifying and segregating non-conforming products.
- Knowledge of the internal final inspection process and related procedures.
- Capable of maintaining accurate records and following up on necessary tasks.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the final inspection process.
- Presents in a smart and professional manner.
- Communicates effectively with confidence and shows initiative.
