The Antivibration Solutions (AVS) Business Unit manufactures across Europe, Asia and America, supplying rubber/metal and rubber/plastic antivibration solutions for numerous sectors (railway, marine, construction, industry).

Internship Objective: Contribute to the execution of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) & Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to quantify the carbon footprint of industrial products, and support the improvement of methodologies, tools and datasets used to guide eco-design choices.

About the role:

  • Define and collect the data required for PCFs/LCAs from internal teams (purchasing, production, R&D, supply chain) and environmental databases (Ecoinvent, GHG Protocol), and check data consistency.
  • Perform PCF/LCA Model products following PCF/LCA methodologies (ISO 14040/44).
  • Build PCF/LCA models using specialized software (SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain).
  • Calculate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) according to the GHG Protocol Product Standard.
  • Identify the most impactful stages (“hotspots”) and propose improvement actions.
  • Identify and quantify the internal/external resources needed for the product carbon footprint analysis.

What you bring:

  • Engineering school student, Master’s degree in environment/energy/materials, or equivalent (specialization in PCF/LCA, sustainable development, eco-design, or carbon assessment appreciated).
  • Knowledge of LCA methods (ISO 14040/44) and the GHG Protocol.
  • First experience with an LCA software tool (SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain).
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong skills in data analysis.
  • Interest in industry and manufacturing processes.
  • Rigor, analytical mindset, attention to detail.
  • Autonomy and scientific curiosity.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with several departments (internal/external).
  • Synthesis skills and ability to simplify complex results.
  • Proactive way of communicating and presenting project milestones and results.
  • English reading, writing, speaking - level B1 (CEFR) - Mandatory.
