Quality Assurance Specialist – Crypto / Blockchain Sector

We are currently seeking an experienced compliance and QA professional with a strong foundation in AML/KYC practices, QC and QA within regulated environments backed with professional experience in digital assets/cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities
While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:

Conduct quality control checks on AML/KYC investigations, with a focus on high-risk transaction monitoring and regulatory compliance in crypto-related services.
Train and coach compliance analysts on investigative methods, fraud detection, adverse media screening, and evolving regulatory standards in the blockchain space.
Oversee remediation and enhanced due diligence (EDD) efforts across both traditional and decentralized financial ecosystems.
Drive team improvements through the ability to retrospectively investigate crypto transactions through blockchain tracing tools such as chainalysis or elliptic.
Continuously improve internal procedures and client onboarding workflows to ensure GDPR, AML, and CFT compliance in a rapidly evolving crypto landscape.

Qualifications

Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
Over 3 years of experience in quantitative roles at financial institutions, trading firms, or fintech companies.
Proven experience in AML, KYC, and CDD in financial services, with exposure to digital assets or blockchain technology.
Strong background in coaching and mentoring through QA/QC.
Familiarity with global AML standards and tools like Dow Jones, Equifax, and smart screening solutions.
Demonstrated ability to refine process workflows and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Understanding of high-risk industries and entity types, including digital asset platforms.
Preferred hands-on experience with blockchain forensics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic).
Familiarity with crypto exchange compliance frameworks and DeFi risk assessment.
