Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager with a background in Regulatory Change and Transformation to join a core Risk Mitigation team, working across multiple workstreams with our Tier 1 Investment Banking client. You will bring subject matter expertise to this role, providing functional and sustainable solutions to business problems.

Responsibilities
While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:
- Support the Program Initiative lead to drive execution of strategic deliverables
- Lead and drive working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
- Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy
- Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk & Control Managers, Product Owners, Front Office and Technology teams
- Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
- Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise
- Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
- Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
- Provide Stakeholder support with investigative analysis when required
Qualifications
- Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
- 5+ years Project Management/PMO experience in a Tier 1 investment bank (or for a Big 4 consulting firm within the investment banking space)
- Experience working on regulatory change projects and implementing regulatory change, such as IBOR, Volcker, Brexit, EMIR, MiFID/MiFIR etc.
- Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives
- Experience in managing Risk and Control related projects
- Knowledge of global markets & financial products
- Strong understanding of front office processes
- Experience in project planning, scoping, RAID management, preparing presentation decks, ideally with certifications in project management (PMP / Prince II)
- Excellent stakeholder communication, comfortable interfacing with stakeholders across multiple teams within the bank
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
- Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
