Treliant is currently looking for a contract kdb+ Developer for a greenfield initiative that rearchitects and redesigns an internal application, replacing legacy C++/Python components with scalable, high-performance kdb+ solutions that deliver real‑time insights for trading operations in a fast‑paced financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading the redevelopment of a greenfield internal application from the ground up with core kdb+ technologies for improved performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Replacing and enhancing existing C++/Python–based systems, such as building a complex event processor based on kdb‑tick.
- Collaborating with internal client teams to ingest and manage large volumes of high‑frequency time‑series data.
- Applying performance‑driven design principles to meet real‑time financial operation demands.
- Analyzing trading data and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Owning a business‑critical system and driving innovation in a fast‑paced delivery environment.
- Building a nuanced understanding of trading operations in large‑scale financial organisations.
Qualifications
- Strong educational background; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Good knowledge of the full SDLC, including design, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Demonstrated experience leading solutions from a consultative or client‑driven perspective.
- Experience with kdb core technologies (Feedhandler, Tickerplant, tick or fusion interfaces).
- Experience with large-scale data capture, processing, and analysis.
- Ability to write clean, efficient code and maintain clear documentation.
- Experience in C++ or Python highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
