Trek Recruitment is recruiting a Service Engineer for a prominent Flintshire-based company specialising in industrial equipment. This position offers a diverse workload centred on maintaining and enhancing specialised machinery.
THE JOB
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of the machinery at client locations throughout the UK (all travel time etc. paid for).
- Assess equipment conditions and compile precise technical reports for customers.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during urgent breakdown scenarios.
- Suggest equipment upgrades or adjustments to improve client operational performance.
YOU
- Valid UK driving license (absolutely essential).
- Competence in working solo or within a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to adapt to some occasional weekend shifts, irregular hours, and overnight stays, including travel to Ireland.
- Background in mechanical engineering.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical systems.
- Practical experience in fitting, welding, and minor fabrication tasks for on-site maintenance.
Standard Hours: 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. All overtime paid for.
Overtime Rates: Time + 1/3 for out-of-hours work and travel; Saturdays paid at time + 1/3 (Sundays excluded).
Leave: 22 days annual leave plus all bank holidays.
Allowances: Accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) covered for overnight assignments.
Additional Benefits: Includes company van with fuel card, full toolset, PPE, and a government-supported pension plan.
