Join a leading technology manufacturer based in Wrexham, North Wales, where you’ll play a key part in keeping state-of-the-art production facilities running efficiently and supporting continuous improvement projects. THE ROLE This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys and skilled in a mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance, facility improvements, and working closely with production, moulding, and automation teams. As Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will provide essential electrical and mechanical support across the factory. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out electrical installations and maintenance work Performing mechanical maintenance and installation, strictly following Safe Systems of Work and Isolation Procedures Managing general facility maintenance and improvement projects, including sourcing and coordinating contractors Working to planned maintenance schedules (including TPM) while remaining flexible to support day-to-day Production and Moulding operations Making minor adjustments to PLC programs when required Identifying and implementing energy-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns on automation equipment and production systems The role offers a great balance of planned preventive maintenance and reactive support in a fast-paced, modern manufacturing setting. What You’ll Need to Succeed Completed HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Ideally qualified to the 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations Practical experience of small building/services projects (e.g. plumbing, heating systems) is advantageous Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, proactive approach to facility improvements Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems Confident working with contractors and managing small-to-medium renovation/repair projects Excellent communication and team-working skills Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to Health & Safety best practice A motivated, tenacious attitude with the ability to learn quickly and take ownership of tasks Why Join This Wrexham Manufacturer?
