THE ROLE

  • As Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering projects from start to finish while ensuring accurate costings for profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Lead engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to exceptional standards.
  • Produce detailed cost estimates and quotations using client specifications, technical drawings, and material requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert technical advice.
  • Work alongside the design team, leveraging tools like AutoCAD, Inventor, and Tekla for seamless project execution.
  • Manage procurement of materials (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium) and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor project timelines, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to keep everything on track.
  • Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure precision in sheet metal work, welding, pipework, and finishing processes.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with clear, regular updates and comprehensive reports.

YOU

  • Proven expertise as a Project Manager and/or Estimator in engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of working with metals (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium) and fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, or Tekla experience highly advantageous).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and deliver precise cost estimations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to foster strong client and supplier relationships.
  • Relevant engineering or project management qualifications (preferred but not mandatory).
