RESEARCH CONSULTANT
REPORTING TO: Associate Director of Health Economics
DEPARTMENT: EVA, Health Economics
PLACE OF WORK: Netherlands
We are seeking a highly skilled Health Economist to join our Value team. The successful candidate will conduct economic literature reviews, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact analyses to support health technology assessments that inform funding decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned projects on time and with expected quality, including developing global economic models, local model adaptations, and supporting analytical work such as survival and HRQoL analyses.
- Apply statistics effectively in health technology appraisal, health economics, outcomes research, or clinical data analysis.
- Develop and program cost-utility models in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications.
- Synthesize, interpret, and communicate economic data; perform quality assurance on models and reports.
- Collaborate with clients and senior team members to understand needs, develop solutions, and contribute to reporting.
- Ensure quality and efficiency with excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Identify and leverage new business opportunities by understanding emerging customer needs and developing appropriate solutions; contribute to proposals.
- Draft manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and present at conferences as required.
- Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.

Key Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MSc required; PhD preferred) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related fields.
- At least 2-3 years of health research experience in consultancy or academic settings, focusing on cost-effectiveness and/or budget impact analyses.
- Fluency or high proficiency in Dutch.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with practical experience in economic modeling and VBA.
- Working knowledge of R for trial analyses is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
