RESEARCH CONSULTANT REPORTING TO: Associate Director of Health Economics DEPARTMENT: EVA, Health Economics PLACE OF WORK: Netherlands We are seeking a highly skilled Health Economist to join our Value team. The successful candidate will conduct economic literature reviews, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact analyses to support health technology assessments that inform funding decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Execute assigned projects on time and with expected quality, including developing global economic models, local model adaptations, and supporting analytical work such as survival and HRQoL analyses. Apply statistics effectively in health technology appraisal, health economics, outcomes research, or clinical data analysis. Develop and program cost-utility models in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications. Synthesize, interpret, and communicate economic data; perform quality assurance on models and reports. Collaborate with clients and senior team members to understand needs, develop solutions, and contribute to reporting. Ensure quality and efficiency with excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail. Identify and leverage new business opportunities by understanding emerging customer needs and developing appropriate solutions; contribute to proposals. Draft manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and present at conferences as required. Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures. Note: Duties may be extended or modified to meet evolving company needs and to support employee development. Key Qualifications: Advanced degree (MSc required; PhD preferred) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related fields. At least 2-3 years of health research experience in consultancy or academic settings, focusing on cost-effectiveness and/or budget impact analyses. Fluency or high proficiency in Dutch. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with practical experience in economic modeling and VBA. Working knowledge of R for trial analyses is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
