The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Woodsperson to join our small, friendly, and established team at a very exciting time in the history of woodland management of the Estate. The work is varied and covers all aspects of woodland management in predominantly broadleaf woodland.
Duties include:
- Planting, maintenance and establishment of new and recently planted trees.
- Thinning and small-scale harvesting/woodland restructuring.
About You
You will need:
- Experience in woodland management, including the use of associated machinery.
- The ability to demonstrate a wide range of silvicultural (the growing and cultivation of trees) skills and knowledge.
- Good health & safety awareness.
- A passion for the outdoors and working in this environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Good communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work well within a team.
- A full clean driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location, with no public transport links.
Benefits
- Salary circa £27,000pa, depending on experience
- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7.45am-4.15pm
- 21 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
