The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced standalone part-time HR Advisor who is responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive HR service to approximately 80 employees. The position is 100% office-based, in a beautiful location.
Duties include:
- Provide advice, guidance, training, coaching and support to employees and managers on all HR matters.
- Manage and co-ordinate all HR processes, including: recruitment and selection; capability, grievance and disciplinary; absence management; performance management; payroll administration; benefits administration and promotion; health surveillance; health and wellbeing initiatives and promotion; leavers, etc.
- Develop, review and implement HR policies, Procedures, Employee Handbook, HR Systems and Processes, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Produce HR reports, analyse and report on results, and make recommendations of any required actions.
- Support the development of managers’ people skills and ensure consistency of people management across the Estate.
- Contribute to us being a progressive employer with good employee relations.
- Ensure legal compliance and best practice for all HR related activities.
About You
You will need:
- Previous similar experience within an SME.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation.
- Good general education, including Maths and English, and preferably CIPD qualified.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, and experience of using HR software.
- Self-motivated, excellent organisation and time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Sound judgement and confident decision-maker.
- Tenacious with good influencing and negotiating skills.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality, and a good role model.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude, approachable, polite and good levels of personal presentation.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to other sites occasionally, as and when required.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.
