The Tregothnan Estate is a private family estate. The Estate workforce is comprised of forestry and property maintenance teams supported by a Rural estate office team. The Estate also has a substantial portfolio of residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Woodsperson to join our small, friendly, and established team, at a very exciting time in the history of woodland management of the Estate. The work is varied and covers all aspects of woodland management, in predominantly broadleaf woodland.
Duties include:
– Maintenance and establishment of woodland and its associated habitats.
– Coppicing, thinning and small-scale harvesting.
– Landscape maintenance, hedgerow management and specimen tree management.
About You
You will need:
– Tree felling experience.
– A chainsaw qualification.
– A good health & safety awareness.
– Mechanical aptitude.
– The ability to work within a team and to learn and develop new skills.
– A full clean driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location, with no public transport links.
