It’s an escape from reality… a place you’ve maybe never been but have always belonged. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to join our rooftop bar team. You will support the Bar Manager in leading daily operations, managing the team, delivering excellent guest experiences, and driving sales in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in high-volume bars or restaurants, a hands-on approach, and a passion for great service, cocktails, events, and team development.

About the Role:

The Assistant Bar Manager will work closely with the Bar Manager to ensure smooth operations, excellent guest experience including service recovery (when required), strong team performance, and consistent delivery of service standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both service and business priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with the F&B Management Team, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Bar team(s), always ensuring the smooth and professional delivery of service and be a hands-on Leader.

From Operations, financial & Commercial responsibilities, Events & Bookings, Compliance & safety to team coaching and performance management to setting departmental goals and delivering excellent guest experience, you will have an opportunity to make the difference, and you’ll lead by example and be a source of motivation and support for your team.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, or strong Senior Supervisor in a high-volume venue.
  • Rooftop, cocktail bar, restaurant, hotel, members club, or events experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent guest service standards.
  • Good understanding of cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium drinks service.
  • Experience managing busy services and large teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of revenue, labour, stock, and cost control.
  • Confident handling guest complaints and operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and seasonal peak.
