About the role… You will oversee and work in all aspects of kitchen management. Manage and work closely with other chefs, create menu items and determine food inventory needs. You'll be involved in the staffing of the kitchen, developing menu offerings, forecasting supply needs and estimating costs. It's also priority to ensure the restaurant meets all regulations, including sanitary and safety guidelines. You will take part in the creation of recipes and the preparation of advanced items. A primary duty is the continued efficiency of the kitchen and production of consistent, quality food. Within this position you will be comfortable working alone along with a team of other Chefs.
About you… You will need a passion for food, excellent cooking skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will be comfortable working alone, along with having the ability to delegate tasks to others, ensuring a high standard of delivery is met. You will also have good organisational skills and should have an understanding of profit margins and budgets.
