Tree Law is seeking an ambitious Newly Qualified Associate Solicitor or experienced Legal Executive to join its specialist legal practice in Barry, Wales. Operating at the intersection of trees, people, and property, the firm handles contentious and advisory work involving tree root subsidence, property disputes, planning issues, and environmental law for insurers, developers, housing associations, and local authorities across the UK.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (newly qualified or early career stage) OR an experienced Legal Executive.
- Relevant background in property litigation, civil litigation, insurance, planning, environmental law, or related areas.
- Intellectually curious, commercially aware, and possessing strong written communication skills.
- Organized, confident in dealing with clients and technical experts, and comfortable taking responsibility.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Managing a broad range of contentious and advisory work, including tree root subsidence, property damage, and nuisance claims.
- Handling matters involving Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Areas, and planning or development issues.
- Conducting pre-action correspondence, litigation, and specialized legal research into environmental and property law.
- Collaborating with technical experts such as arboriculturists, engineers, and surveyors.
