Job Description: Retail Client Partner

Location: London (U.K.)

Role Overview

As a Retail Client Partner , you will own and grow existing strategic client/s relationships within the Retail sector. This role focuses on deepening partnerships, expanding revenue within assigned accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor to retail clients across business and technology functions. You will be accountable for account health, revenue growth, and long-term client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Account Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Drive growth within existing accounts through selling of analytics, data engineering, data science, and AI/ML solutions.
  • Own the full opportunity lifecycle within assigned accounts—from opportunity identification and solution shaping to proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to client priorities and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a healthy account-level pipeline and consistently meet growth objectives.

Client Relationship & Account Ownership

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned existing accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business, digital, analytics, and technology leaders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business priorities, operating models, and competitive pressures in the retail landscape.

Consultative & Solution-Led Engagement

  • Partner with clients to identify opportunities across the retail value chain, including merchandising, pricing, promotions, supply chain, inventory optimization, e-commerce, omnichannel, customer experience, loyalty, and personalization.
  • Translate retail business challenges into scalable, data- and analytics-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to co-create tailored client solutions.
  • Lead proposal creation, client presentations, and executive-level discussions.

Client Advocacy & Delivery Alignment

  • Act as the primary escalation point for client issues and ensure delivery excellence in collaboration with internal delivery and engagement teams.
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery outcomes to drive high client satisfaction, retention, and renewal.
  • Support contract renewals, scope expansions, and long-term engagement continuity.

Industry & Market Insight

  • Stay current on Retail and Consumer industry trends, including digital commerce, omnichannel transformation, AI-driven merchandising, demand forecasting, and customer analytics.
  • Provide market and client insights to internal teams to inform solution development and positioning.

Performance Management

  • Own account-level KPIs including revenue growth, pipeline health, client satisfaction, and engagement expansion.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, account reviews, and account growth plans to leadership.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level growth strategies for Retail and Consumer accounts.

Required Experience & Domain Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, IT services, analytics, or technology services.
  • Strong background in Retail, CPG, or Consumer account management, client partnership, or relationship management roles.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing enterprise retail accounts.
  • Solid understanding of data analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, and digital platforms in retail environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder retail accounts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail domain experience across one or more areas: merchandising, pricing & promotions, supply chain & inventory, e-commerce, omnichannel, customer analytics, or loyalty.
  • Hands-on experience with proposal development, renewals, and contract expansions.
  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to articulate business value to retail stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong appreciation of IT tools, platforms, and solution architectures used in retail.

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility to travel as needed to support existing client engagements.
