ABOUT TRECO:
Treco Ltd have over 15 years’ industry experience and are leading installers and developers of biomass boiler systems. Highly experienced in design, supply, and installation of renewable energy technology, having supplied, approaching a thousand boilers nationwide to date. We are looking to expand our Design department with the appointment of a graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. We offer a competitive package, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a well-established Biomass Company.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, designing, and implementing engineering projects
• Perform engineering calculations using relevant software
• Attend site visits to conduct quality inspections and produce as-installed schematics
• Provide technical support to the Technical Manager
• Collaborate with the Project Management team on procurement and technical queries
• Support the Sales team in creating concept drawings for proposals
• Create detailed CAD drawings for system designs
• Prepare and generate bills of materials for projects
• Produce project quotes through internal systems
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures during the design phase
• Contribute to research and development efforts
• Source new products and technologies to enhance project solutions
• Assist with Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) administrative tasks and documentation

Essential Core Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Solid understanding of building services and engineering fundamentals
• Qualified to at least HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with commercial awareness
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact at all levels within the company and with external clients
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good level of written and spoken English
